Ever wanted to show your friends & family what sliding is really about? Now you can!
This Sunday, March 29th, 2015 at 19:30 the BC Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association is
hosting Friends & Family Day at the Whistler Sliding Centre.
This is an opportunity for athletes & officials to invite family and friends to The Whistler
Sliding Centre for an evening of complimentary skeleton sliding to celebrate the end of
another great season!
The Deal: Each active athlete/volunteer is welcome to bring one (1) friend or family for the
opportunity to slide from Maple Leaf Start on a Skeleton. If you (the athlete/volunteer)
would like to be one of the sliders, then please RSVP yourself + 1 other maximum.
Spectators are absolutely welcome!

How do I sign up: RSVP with your maximum 2 names (yours & a guest OR just a guest)
to be added to the start list to slide by end of day on Friday, March 27th by emailing
Skeleton Day Of:
· Meet at Guest Services at 19:30 or earlier to sign waiver/orientation
· Please park in the Guest Services Lower Parking Lot
· Group will walk to Maple Leaf together
· Skeleton Sliding from 20:30 – 21:30 (Number of runs will depend on number of sliders in the session)
What do I need to bring/wear: (Please communicate this to your guest)
· Slim fitting winter clothing
· Shoes with good tread (winter boots or runners – not snowboard boots)
· Gloves
· Tie back long hair & Remove all loose jewelry
· Helmet cameras are not permitted
Guests sliding should be fit enough to walk up to Maple Leaf, lift themselves over the wall in the
outrun, and grip the sides of the sled. This is not recommended for pregnant women, or anyone
suffering from a heart condition or chronic/recent back or neck injuries, anyone on medication
that prevents them from driving, or under the influence of drugs/alcohol. Minimum age for
Skeleton is 13.
